LMC Programme
Background
GP practices are at increased risk due to increased workload, changes in workforce, staff burnout for managers as well as clinicians, financial pressures in the wider NHS and greater scrutiny.
We want to bring a fundamental change to the way GP Practices manage compliance and quality assurance, to bring a common standard and dramatic improvements in real-time governance as well as reductions in duplication across the board.
The pilot phase has demonstrated this value; the ability to achieve good standards and CQC readiness in record time; and exemplary results in short notice inspections.
Greater Manchester LMCs
We have been preparing a national Quality Improvement Programme with the principal aim of putting LMCs at the centre of change. By happenstance, Haughton and Thornley Medical Practice came on board as a client, which afforded a unique opportunity to demonstrate the product; to confirm the need for localised support; and open a direct conversation with the LMCs.
Having entered pre-launch, GM LMCs are effectively some 3 months ahead of the curve, and this proposed collaboration puts you at the leading edge, accelerates the project, and allows us all to “hit the ground running”.
The LMC Proposition
The proposition is a partnering arrangement where everythingCQC provide digital intelligence in real-time, so that LMCs can provide “proactive support” where no one is left behind.
This can range from light-touch support for well organised Practices to intensive support for others, particularly those with limited resources.
The end result would be LMCs certifying members to ISO 9001:2015 International Standards; a ground-breaking peer reviewed accreditation system way beyond anything the CQC can achieve.
